After a short period as a hospital nurse, Lisa graduated from college with a major in accounting. Now she was required to take the “brain-buster” CPA exam.  For years, going back to her childhood, anytime Lisa had to take a test, she would tense up and become extremely anxious. A friend referred her to a hypnotist, a person experience in dealing with stress-related problems. After six, one hour sessions, which included self-hypnosis, Lisa aced the test! She was a CPA for the government for five years.

Shortly after this, Lisa was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. As we know, sometimes the treatment can be as stressful as the disease itself.  Not for Lisa.  Utilizing the skills she learned in self-hypnosis, she used Imagery for her survival.  During radiation, she visualized a powerful healing blue light permeating her body... bathing each cell with energy.  She is now cancer free.

Changing careers, Lisa was a nurse specializing in Orthopedic Practice Management. It was during this time that Lisa also worked as a Senior Program Instructor for Women’s Economic Ventures (WEV).  She guided women who were interested in becoming entrepreneurs. Working with 32 women, Lisa soon realized that many of the women were lacking self-confidence due to long established fears and past failures.

Asking her students their permission to be hypnotized, and using her own self-hypnosis skills learned years ago in private session, Lisa soon saw amazing results. In addition, she also realized this was a field she loved... the ability to be able to help people.

While she was working with the fledgling entrepreneurs at WEV, Lisa enrolled in the
Hypnosis Motivation Institute in Tarzana and received her degree as a
Certified Hypnotherapist and her Masters as a Practitioner in Neuro-Linguistic Programming.

For the past three years, Lisa has been living her dream with her own company, Holistic Haven, as a highly successful Certified Hypnotherapist helping others.  She is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Pepperdine University.
