Doing Affect Bridge Age Regression with customers strongly Suppress Feelings
All our candidates are encouraged to consult our 5-PATH and 7th Path Hypnotherapist support group email list, where we support them, and they do a good job of supporting each other. This group consists of the graduates of our programs and use 5-PATH and 7th Path systems across the U.S. and around the world.
Hi Eric? I understand that in the work you do, you want to use hypnotic age regression to uncover a time when the client was impressed with the belief that he or she should not express emotion. As a result, your customers can have a very difficult time responding to the proposal (in hypnosis) that they "educate a feeling" associated with problem (so you can use it to Affect Bridge Age Regression). As a result, you're thinking of using the suggestion that they go back to a time when they first started to stop the feeling (or similar proposals). To avoid to lead the client, I suggest that you continue to use the Affect Bridge Technique. I've worked with, and have had success with customers, which originally could not find that feeling. This challenge comes up from time to time, as a result, I worked to solve this problem in several ways. I'm still very impressed with the Affect Bridge Age Regression can take us to the original Sensitizing Event (ISE). To my way of thinking, even a small signal (influence) is better than nothing signal to relate to.
Here are some things I have done to solve the problem with some clients are resistant to the upbringing of a feeling / emotion for use in Affect Bridge Technique:
1. I condition my clients to go to a feeling that I propose in the previous session (Phase I) and at that age regression session (Phase II) by making the three powers in the Mind, (ie? And now your attention goes to the feeling of the shoes on your feet?, Your pants touch your legs?, (etc.) And now your attention goes to the emotion inside you that you dislike, that has everything to do with why you came here to see me today.?) This approach reliably get the customer in connection with that feeling.
2. In my experience, the client is able to NOT respond to the conditioning, that I used above. However, it is possible that he may be unaware of the emotion on the conscious level, but the proposal (of his attention goes to the feeling) will resonate within him and cause an awareness of the unconscious or subconscious level of mind (at least). When this happens, there will be some form of physical evidence of this connection with the sentiment, such as changes in breathing, facial expressions, muscle tone in the body, and so on. When this happens, the therapist should point out to the customer which then brings it into consciousness. It could go something like this, "I can see that you were aware of that feeling, either consciously or unconsciously, because your breathing becomes deeper (or? faster? or? your face is turning red? or? of the expression on your face? etc.).
3. When even the slightest evidence of the emotions is found, trying to increase its energy or otherwise improving the customer? awareness of feelings. I could say something like, "And Now when I count from 1 to 5, the feeling growing inside of you, like a fountain flowing up from inside you … "
4. If it does not work, I used to OJ answers? I do not feel anything.? For example, "Although I do not feel anything, I deeply and completely accept myself." And for the rest of the items "I can not feel "or" This I can not feel "(I know the wording is strange in one) or" My inability to feel. " So I would proceed with managing the customer in the Affect Bridge again. I've been very impressed with how it has worked. It also works well with people telling you they? can? t go back? (Decline).
5. Here's a backdoor approach. Relate on a pleasant feeling. There is normally no opposition to this. Go back as far as you can use the pleasant feeling, or as far back as it makes sense to leave when the known history of the client. Then go from there. If you are in deed before ISE, the child must report feeling safe and loved when asked about how he or she feels. Then go forward from this point until feeling safe and secure or loved one disappears. This is an ISE. Explore it and see when the baby will be notified? You better not feel that way? or? stop crying or I? ll give you something to cry about? etc.
Having said all this, I want to offer an observation. Sometimes I have seen some of our new therapists in our center has a similar problem to get their clients not be able to feel the emotion, or find the feeling. (I'm going to see their hypnotherapy session Videos.) Here are some common problems they have:
1. Insufficient level of hypnosis. It seems that if you have somnambulism, it is much more likely that they will find that feeling and have a successful Affect Bridge Age Regression.
2. Is too gentle or clinical approach. This is not a gentle process. It's the bulldozer! One must have the attitude Ruthless Compassion! If we go after deeply rooted and hidden feelings / beliefs we have to be powerful and passionate (Authoritative) in our approach.
3. Incongruent tone or pacing. This? Bulldozer? approach requires that we move quickly at times, and the tone of our voice should always be consistent with what you propose. I? Have even whacked my clients on the shoulder and shook them as I suggested that the emotion comes up. When you speak in a dynamic and emotional tone, it creates an environment where such feelings can be easily experienced.
Thanks for letting me share this with the group!
I hope That helps,
