does anyone know anything about subliminal programming for your mind?

heard of the subliminal power software for your computer? it very quickly flashes positive affirmations on your computer screen, while you go about your work. apparently, the subconscious mind registers them and starts re-programming itself. i’ve used hypnosis cds and they do seem to work after using them regularly. recently, i started using subliminal cds, where you hear relaxing music, but in the background are the affirmations etc. any comments on any of this is appreciated.

when that crazy mom sued disney because she said ‘aladin’ was telling her kids to take off their clothes. I heard an expert talk about how subliminal messages only work when heard repeatedly over a period of time (of course she said her kids watched ‘aladin’ several times a day – there’s a problem, but i digress) anyway, while listening to self hypnosis tapes with positive messages has been proven to help stress and addiction, i’ve not read anywhere that images flashing, or messages hidden in music have actually been proven to work. doesn’t mean they don’t, but couldn’t find any good scientific data on the subject.
