The voices you hear

Julian Jaynes, a Princeton professor, revealed how until about 3000 years ago the human mind works through automatic, non-introspective commands.

This grade is given, bicameral mind was very intelligent, but immersed in the here and now. It had no ability to be objective, to introspect, or think in terms of past or future.

Left and right brain

St. Theresa would hear auditory votes. I've heard them on several occasions; It was amazing. It sounded like a man's voice, very loud. The first experience occurred while I was driving during a 16 hours get-away trip. Following hours of communicating with myself, an auditory, masculine and authoritative voice spoke, giving me the insight I sought.

A man hears not the voice which he would normally hear perple speech. The voice is inside your head, but it is so strong, as if someone outside of you have spoken.

No One Else is present

At one time or another many people experience a voice speaking to them, even if nobody else is present. This voice usually comes across as an authority figure gives a new insight into a personal problem.

This experience to hear a voice when none has actually spoken occurs because we have a shared hemisphere of our brains, left and right hemisphere.

When we think of an idea or pondering a question that we normally conscious only of our argument, left brain. This is where our logical thinking takes place.

But occasionally our more intuitive right hemisphere will experience a flash of insight, pulling together apparently independent information to make a sudden insight.

This insight will then go from our right brain in our left brain. Such a right-brain insight would seem that our left brain, the hemisphere, we usually consious and think that comes from outside ourselves.

A person can literally discover an insight as a second talking to them.

Understanding how our right hemisphere Works

Normally information comes from our right brain of our left brain to be analyzed. But you can learn to come into direct contact with your right brain by suppressing your left and focus on your right side.

Mystic techniques and devices facilitate in us suppress the focus on our left hemisphere.

Hypnosis is another technique that can be used to suppress left-brain conscious mind to come into direct contact with the normally unconscious right brain mind.

A normal person is rarely aware of his right hemisphere, because it is not our rational thinking side. Processes in your right hand is more likely to to be unconscious to them. But mystics, on the other hand, tend to be much more aware and in touch with their right brain.

The right is considered our survival hemishpere. We see, hear and feel for survival.

Knowledge of past and future functions of our rational, left brain. Actually, it was only developed man introspective consciousness and moved away from nature's automatic, bestial aware that we could think of ourselves in relation to future based on the past. Our right brain thinks and perceives only the here and now.

Our right brain is visual and sensual; we pick percept in pictures contact, depth perception and spatial organization. One of the major tasks of this process is that it generates a lot of creativity.

Our right brain can see a whole picture at a time, a key to the origin of new, creative insights.

Our left brain is verbal, analytical goals. It sees things in a sequence as the past, present and future. Our left brain is very rational, language-oriented.

Linear thinking Versus Vertical Thinking

In the book New Think by Edward De Bono D. He talk about linear thinking contra vertical thinking. Our left brain thinking vertically. It takes a fact and carry logic based on this relationship.

But horizontal thinking is far more right brain. Our court sees parallel patterns and associations among apparently unrelated facts and events.

Our right hemisphere not build a logical step from one place to another. It looks at an area a pattern that is parallel with something else in another area. Then suddenly, the court may make a connection between what seemed like an independent phenomena which results in an entirely new insight. It is such a sudden glimpse of the creativity comes from our right brain.

Most problems can be solved by our left brain, because most problems can be solved by incremental logic. But an unusual problem, or an unusually complex problem, a problem that deprives solutions even after all the facts have been examined and objective thinking employee can not be solved through conventional logic. That is when our right brain can step in and do a completely unexpected insight see a connection between seemingly unrelated facts or events.

Because the right brain thinking horizontally, it can recognize the connections between seemingly different phenomena.
