Hypnosis, is this normal?

I bought a CD today by Susan Hepburn to get me off smoking. I listened, and when I fell in I bloody loved it, it was so relaxing, I did not want to wake up I noticed my eyes kept twitching and had like Tingle in legs. I woke up and shortly after had a smoke then clearly have done so much good, but I feel bloody great now I'm on a high for any particular reason. Is this the norm with hypnosis? I wonder why I still smoke itself?

Hypnosis CD is great, but they have a disadvantage. They are not suited to you (in other words, they are generic) Any person who do something, do it for different reasons. If this script / CD does not address your specific reasons for smoking, it is unlikely to be as effective. Also depending on how open you were for it (sounds like it was your first time) you could have been a little less open to accepting the given proposal. Now that you know what it is about next time you listen, you will be even more open to it. But the thing to remember, it's a process. Only about 30% of the population will have a single session and never smoke again. The next 30%, it takes a few sessions. The next 30% will usually require a more specific technique that tackles their problems directly (typically, these must be 1-on-1 Sessions as the proposals to be adjusted) … And I know your going to ask about the last 10%. They're the group that is one that is not motivated to stop smoking, or stop for the wrong reasons (ie wife or girlfriend wants them to stop, jobs / law makes them stop, etc.) The reason for someone to stop smoking will come from them, otherwise there is a tendency to be somewhat of a rebel response to any proposal with regard to becoming a non-smoker. From what you have described, it sounds like hypnosis was effective for you. I will listen to it a couple times a day (when / if it is safe to do so, ie not while driving, etc.) for a week or so and see how it goes after that. You'll likely that your smoking has fallen, and remember that progress. Good luck! PS: See how you phrase your goal of becoming a non-smoker. Think of it as "You choice to become a non-smoker "and not" I'm going to stop smoking "(we are all brought up with the conviction that nobody likes a quitter) So see the way you relate to your goals and keep them in a positive way.
