What image pops into your mind when you say the word “hypnosis”?
If you see something similar to a cartoon cat swinging a watch before a dazed little birdie’s spiraling eyes, allow yourself a chuckle.
In the relaxed state of hypnosis, your anxiety is released, and your thoughts flow freely. For this reason, hypnosis has more in common with focused attention, or with “being in the zone”, than with being unaware.
Who’s your favorite comedian? How about your favorite cartoon character? Did you feel yourself smiling inside when you answered?
Just thinking about something pleasant, or funny, makes us smile like the cat that ate the canary.
By simply focusing on an image, you created an emotion. While you were doing that, you were completely aware and in control. This experience is the method of hypnosis. Together, we follow an image related to an emotion in order to produce a desired result.
Within our subconscious minds, we unconsciously focus on the thoughts and beliefs that drive our every conscious act, thought and decision. |

Hypnotherapy uses focus turned inward to discover the subconscious reasons for the behaviors driving our conscious actions.
Entering into a support-filled partnership with your hypnotherapist involves your making a conscious decision to replace undesired or unhealthy beliefs with wholesome and desired ideas, goals and intentions. The result is transformation.
Hidden in every obstacle is a treasure to behold . . .
your heart is wiser than you know. |
